Shhh!   It's a Birthday Surprise!!  Clifford Miles is turning 90!!

 

Many of us have received that special birthday call from Clifford. It's our turn to celebrate Clifford's birthday!

 

To honor Clifford's 90th birthday, we are establishing the Clifford Miles "Walk with the Lord" Endowment Fund.

 

Honoring Clifford: 

Danny and Nancy Smelser have expressed the need for a full-time faculty member to teach Bible at the Alpha Omega Christian School in Tanzania, Africa (See below for more information). The Endowment will fund this position in perpetuity.  

 

What better way to honor Clifford than to know that for years to come many souls will be touched with his thought-provoking question: "How is your walk with the Lord?"

 

Ways to Donate/Participate: 

We will be collecting donations during Sunday morning classes. 

There will also be a donation box in the ROC foyer from December 1st-8th. 

Checks should be made payable to "Christian Services Foundation Inc".

We will meet on December 14th to sing "Happy Birthday" to Clifford and present him with this honor.  (Details to come)

 

Additional Information Regarding the Endowment Fund: 

Alpha Omega needs a full-time faculty member to teach Bible classes in the school's curriculum. This position is currently held by multiple individuals on a part-time basis. 

 

An endowment would provide funds for a full-time position that is responsible for:

 

1. Designing the school's comprehensive six (6)-year Bible curriculum

2. Teaching daily Bible classes for Grades 8 through 13

3. Teaching weekly leadership classes for students

4. Preaching at the campus church on Sunday

5. Supervising the daily chapel services conducted on the school's campus

6. Organizing an annual on-campus Bible seminar for Monduli community

7. Mentoring two upper level students who will serve as spiritual leaders, counselors, etc.
