Ken has been on staff with Cross Point since 1996, beginning as the Involvement Minister, and then becoming the Counseling Minister in 2004. He has a BA in Biblical Studies from Harding University, as well as a Masters in Counseling from Harding Theological School. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a calming personality that makes him easy to talk with. Ken loves that Cross Point tries to be true to the Biblical message, while being open to new ways of sharing the Gospel. He loves helping people through counseling and Bible teaching. Ken and his wife, Crystal, have three children, and six grandchildren. Ken enjoys hunting, shooting sports, traditional archery, and hanging out with his grandkids, of course!

Jeremy came to Cross Point in January 2021, to start work with our youth. He previously served as youth minister to two other churches and has a degree in Bible and Ministry from Harding University. Jeremy met his wife, Ashley, while leading a community outreach ministry at an apartment complex during his time at Harding. They married in August 2019, and have a golden retriever named Ruby and a burnadoodle named Max. They are both excited about Cross Point’s mission to “seek and save the lost” and feel that vision is at the center of who Cross Point is as a church. Some of Jeremy’s favorite activities are playing basketball, kayaking, and hiking. He feels there is no better way to connect to God than to be out in His creation.

Cross Point is home to Heather; she has attended Darby Drive/Cross Point for nearly her entire life. She joined our team as our part-time Children’s Minister of Admin & Curriculum in September 2022. Heather has a Bachelor’s in Business Finance from the University of North Alabama. She loves her church family and working with the children of Cross Point because they are the future of the church. Helping children grow their spiritual foundation brings her so much joy! Heather is married to her high school sweetheart, Jonathan, and they have four beautiful children, who are her absolute pride and joy. She loves making memories with her family and doing life with the people that mean the most to her!

As you can tell by his photo, Ryan laughs (and keeps us laughing) each day, as he works in countless ways to make Cross Point ministries successful. He has been the Ministry Assistant here since 2012, and loves meeting and helping people. He assists with many large events and helps coordinate a lot behind the scenes. Ryan and his wife, Christa, have been married since 2010, and are in love with Florence and their amazing church family. In his spare time, Ryan loves to cook, fish, and travel. He and Christa spend lots of time visiting with family across Alabama and Tennessee.

Ashley began working as the Cross Point Office Assistant in early 2017. Ashley is a ray of sunshine in our office and she is always ready to lend a hand. She has a BA in Biblical Studies from Heritage Christian University, and previously worked alongside her husband, Seth, in youth ministry. Ashley loves ministering in a unique way, behind the scenes in the office, and she loves feeling God's presence here at Cross Point. Ashley and Seth are proud parents of a sweet little boy. They love to spend time with friends and family outdoors - hiking, backpacking, kayaking, caving, rock climbing...well, pretty much anything outside! They even spent time providing Sunday morning worship services in Olympic National Park with the organization A Christian Ministry in the National Park.

Mark began serving as the volunteer Education Minister in 1996. He then moved into the role of Recreation/Outreach Minister and became a full-time staff member in 2004. He now serves as the Executive Minister and oversees ministries and daily operations of the church. Mark previously owned a small business and holds a Bachelor's degree in Math and Business Administration as well as a Master's in Education. Mark has a passion for Cross Point ministries and enjoys seeing the excitement the leaders have for those ministries. Mark and his wife, Gena, have three children, two grown sons and a daughter in college. Mark enjoys mission work, reading, Disney World, eBay, and Alabama football.

Sadie has been involved as a volunteer at Cross Point for as long as she can remember, and came on board in 2022 as one of our Children’s Ministers. She is currently attending UNA and majoring in elementary education. She loves Cross Point because we are a family and the people here genuinely care for each other. She loves working with our kids because they have pure hearts toward God and it’s a beautiful thing to be a part of watching them form relationships with God. In addition to her job, Sadie has been an intern for the Children's Ministry and Youth Group, and often teaches Bible classes. In her spare time she loves to hang out with her friends, workout, journal, go to Target and spin class.

Sara is a native of Florida and a graduate of Florida State University. She moved to Florence and joined the Cross Point team in 2015. She worked as a paralegal and an IT manager, before taking on the role of Office Manager at Cross Point. She enjoys finding ways to help people and improve processes and loves that she gets to serve Cross Point by maintaining our office and financial records. Sara and her husband, Kime, have three precious daughters who light up their lives. She enjoys spending time with family, being a dance, cheer, theater, and golf mom, and rooting for her alma mater in football. Go Noles!

Jake joined the Cross Point team in the Summer of 2023 as Part-Time College Minister. He previously ministered with two other congregations after graduating from Heritage Christian University with a degree in Bible, with a focus on Family Life Ministry. He currently serves Lauderdale County as a full-time deputy. He has been married since 2014 to Brooke, who works in grief counseling for juveniles at The Healing Place. In 2021, they were blessed to add a little girl to their family. Although he says free time is rare being a full-time deputy, part-time minister, and full-time dad to a toddler, when he does have free time, he can usually be caught working out at the gym or playing his PlayStation. 

Laura helps with our youngest Cross Point children, ages birth – preschool. She has a degree in Mass Communications, with a minor in Marketing, from UNA. Laura loves that Cross Point has the biggest heart for others and the community, striving to reach out and touch as many lives as possible. She loves getting to work with a church that is always putting God first and striving to do His will. Laura and her husband, J.J., have two young children who are such blessings to their lives! They serve together at Cross Point as life group leaders and also youth group discipleship leaders. In her spare time, Laura loves to travel (especially to Disney World), work puzzles, shop, and spend time with family and friends.

Frank has been proclaiming the Gospel in a gifted way at Cross Point since 2005. He previously preached in Georgia and in Arkansas. Before sharing God's love from the pulpit, he influenced young people as a middle and high school teacher and coach. Frank loves to preach the Word and feels blessed to work alongside other staff members and friends who love the Lord. He loves the fact that Cross Point is focused on Jesus, serving the community, and seeking and saving the lost. Frank and his wife, Summer, met at Harding University. They have two children, both Harding grads, and four fantastic grandchildren. Frank enjoys all types of sports and attending sporting events. He is an avid reader and enjoys traveling.
